We’re Hiring Summer Conservation Positions!

We’re hiring 4 summer staff to support our conservation, restoration, and outreach programs in Campbell River. These roles will involve a mix of hands-on fieldwork and community engagement.
Staff will be:
  • Restoring and maintaining natural areas (planting, invasive removal, habitat enhancement)
  • Collecting field data (wildlife cameras, water quality, mapping, etc.)
  • Supporting and leading volunteer events
  • Assisting with environmental education programs and community outings
  • Supporting food security initiatives like fruit gleaning programs and food forests
What we’re looking for:
  • Interest in environmental stewardship, ecology, or related fields
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of conditions
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with the public
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn
Details:
  • Campbell River, BC
  • 8 weeks, starting June 1, 2026 (start date can be flexible to accommodate student schedules)
  • 37.5 hours/week
  • $19-21/hour
  • Potential to extend based on funding availability
  • A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector check must be obtained prior to start date (we can assist with this process).
Applicants must:
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident

  • You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team and gain experience across a wide range of conservation work—ideal for students or early-career folks exploring environmental fields.
