Volunteer Streamkeepers promote stream health through their efforts in raising awareness, restoration, and monitoring of our waterways.
Our stream stewards play a key role in preserving the vitality of our watersheds through activities ranging from routine upkeep of urban creeks to monitoring fish populations. Greenways supports these Streamkeepers by serving as a mediator among community groups, individual volunteers, City officials, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Additionally, Greenways helps by coordinating workshops, implementing stream restoration initiatives, and supplying specialized equipment, along with access to a comprehensive library of documents and tools.
