Campbell River’s Youth Has Invaluable Green Impact
What better way to learn about environmental issues than tackling them hands on? At Greenways, we support environmental education in the public-school curriculum. Our school programs allow students to connect with course material in a meaningful way and become stewards of their local ecosystems.
Students learn about and remove invasive plant species, support the ecosystem by starting and planting native species, paint yellow fish by storm drains, contribute to creek & estuary restoration, and build nest boxes.
“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves”. [Stephen Moss]
