Stewardship Home Page
A primary goal of the Land Trust is to support local stewardship groups and individuals and to provide as many resources as possible. This is achieved through cooperation with governments, funding partners and supporters. Some of the stewardship groups are listed below with a link to more information. They are also listed in meeting schedules found on the top of the gold sidebar. All groups compiled to date are listed in the Stewardship Directory. The GLT receives provincial information for workshops, resources and stewardship projects and ideas. Resources include technical expertise, access to computer resources, project administration, and access to information, tools and supplies. Acting as a stewardship resource centre is a core activity that is vital, yet difficult to find funding for. Help us assist these groups and their projects by donating here. There are many active groups in the Campbell River area that volunteer their time to address the needs of sensitive lands and waterways. To see the many streams in the Campbell River area, go to the map. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Stewardship groups (including ourselves) are often looking for volunteers to help with their various projects, or even to sit on the Board of their society. If you would like to get involved with your neighborhood stewardship group, we can point you in the right direction or you can go to the Stewardship Directory and Meeting Times for more information. WATERSHED WALK BROCHURES: Brochures with maps and historical descriptions are available from the GLT for Simms Creek, Stories Creek, Haig-Brown/Kingfisher Creek, Nunns Creek and Willow Creek. Contact us for more information or go to Services & Publications to view samples. ADVERTISING YOUR GROUP: If you would like your group to be added to this section below, please contact us. Meeting Schedules are also available for some groups. For further contact information about these and other local groups, go to the Stewardship Directory.
